Home sweeeet home
Yes, it is GREAT to be back. I've been so busy, I've had absolutely no time to blog. What can I say - life is great. Of course there are the ups and downs... but that's what makes the ups SO MUCH better. =)
I had a BBQ last Saturday, and it was so awesome to see so many of my buddies again. Too bad I passed out at 7:30pm! yep. Over-did the alcohol thing by taking 20 shots of vodka within the first 3 hours. =p sigh. I was just trying to be a good host and drink with every group of friends that came in. You know.. I always feel it's my job to peer pressure everyone into getting buzzed... Next thing u know.... I woke up at 4am.... not knowing where the heck i was.
ANyway, luckily, i was not the only retard - my bro passed out at 8:30pm. and the word on the street is - i went out a lot more gracefully than he did. MUHAHAHAHA. booya!
So I woke up at 4am, and my brother and i both were like "WHAT HAPPENED?! THE PARTY's OVER?! NOOOOooOOO!!!! DO YOU REMEMBER NIGHT TIME? I DON't!" hahaha we lamented over it, and then decided that we must have a DO-OVER.
... leave it to the CHANGS to pass out at their own party. hehehhee. At least everyone had a blast... and a BIG GIANT HUG AND THANK YOU TO ALL MY LOVELY FRIENDS who kept our home so impeccably clean. Man, I have the best gosh darn friends in the world =) Yep I'm lucky to know all of you.
Of course -- Pictures soon to follow. =)
Again, it's so00oooo GOOD TO BE HOME. Home, sweet home.

The Heart of the Matter
Download the version by India Arie -- AMAZING.
I've been trying to live without you now
But I miss you, baby
The more I know, the less I understand
And all the things I thought I figured out, I have to learn again
I've been tryin' to get down to the Heart of the Matter
But my will gets weak
And my heart is so shattered
But I think it's about forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, even if you don't love me anymore
All the people in your life who've come and gone
They let you down, you know they hurt your pride
Better put it all behind you; cause life goes on
You keep carrin' that anger, it'll eat you up inside
I wanna be happily everafter
And my heart is so shattered
But I know it's about forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, even if you don't love me anymore
I've been trying to live without you now
But I miss you, baby
The more I know, the less I understand

Dear eBay.ca Family:
I’ve had an absolutely amazing time living and working here in Toronto at eBay.ca for the last three and a half months. I am so grateful that my time here has been just long enough to truly experience the love of the eBay.ca family, to taste the great diverse food selection that Toronto restaurants have to offer, to go to all the fun summer events, to party at a bunch of clubs downtown -- but just short enough to avoid the FREEZING wintertime that I keep hearing horror stories about.
You’ve all done such a remarkable job making me feel right at home here, and I will always hold all of those caring gestures dear to my heart.
So, it’s confirmed – the rumors are true:
- Canadians are more welcoming, friendly, down-to-earth, chill, and don’t stress out as much.
- In my opinion, the Toronto party scene definitely rivals Vegas.
- Canadians sound words out differently like: ‘aboot’ and ‘surry,’… and my all time favorite is: Ya’ll love saying ‘ay?’ at the end of sentences. =)
- The food here is amazing.
- There is a true ‘melting pot’ vibe where everyone really feels like they belong.
- It is way cleaner and safer here, and people make such a better effort to keep it that way.
Yup, Toronto is definitely going down in my books as one of the greatest places I’ve been privileged to spend some good quality time. I will definitely be back to visit – as this place will always feel like somewhat of a home away from home to me!
One very important lesson I’ve learned here is to watch my step when in high heels! Those crazy sidewalk vents are everywhere, and you never know when you’ll get a heel stuck in there and fall face forward on one of those MONSTER garbage/recycling bins! Yes, it was an extremely rough lesson learned – however, somehow I feel I’ve gained so much knowing I can get through something like that. A huge thanks to everyone for showing all the support and care. I am truly grateful.
All I have to say is: I really feel like I am one lucky girl.
THANKS TORONTO! You’ve been more than amazing to me! Be SURE email me or give me a ring to let me know when you are coming to my hood, because I will be so happy to have the chance to extend the same welcome to any of you.
Tomorrow is my last day here, but I hope to see you all again. =)
Sincerely,
Sandy Chang

Taste of Danforth Weekend w/ Jason James and Judy
Enjoy the pix! Since I haven't had time to write/blog .. here's some excerpts from my brother's xanga about his time here in Toronto hehhee:
"Well, found some time to blog in Toronto. It's I guess 5am Toronto time. The clubs here are off the da hook. Crazier than anything in SF hands down. So many clubs, so many people coming out.
I'm happy I came out to a place like Toronto where there are tons more cute females at the club than SF, where the parties are ridiculously huge and ginormous, and go on even after last call.... it's seriously nothing I've ever seen outside of Vegas. Canadians... it's like they have nothing better to do.
~~~~~~~
For some funny reason, it's always Saturdays -- not Fridays -- that I have more fun at the club. Tonight was a really awesome night at the club. Perhaps just by a stroke of luck.
On a side note, my sister kicks ass. She has gotten me into the club for free, and gotten me free drinks pretty much every time I've gone to the club. Absolutely hilarious I tell you. My sister is one of those attractive party girl types and she knows all the who's-who at ALL the clubs. I mooch off all these guys who get bottle service and crap and it's all gravy.. har har har. so hilarious. anyway, both friday and saturday at toronto, we literally skip the lines at the clubs and just straight up move to the front of the line, then we head to the back room with bottle service and take shots of grey goose... ALL FOR FREE. har har har.. women... so many hookups.. lucky brother that I am to get hooked up by association.. har har har...
anyway, toronto is alright, but clubbin' is still not my thing. it's definitely my sister's thing. but it surely is not mine. it's fun. i danced with some women and talked to some cuties, for sure. but, I think i'm just going to stick to the grad parties and law skoo stuff. too bad toronto's winter sucks ass, otherwise this place seriously kicks major ass."
The girls I LOVE
So, lots of things didn't go according to plan this past weekend... Sherry and Margaret's plane got delayed, so they ended up missing their connection flight, so they had to stay in Vegas for a night.
Erika got in on Thursday night, and we ended up staying at the Brock Plaza Hotel at nigara falls.. just the two of us. We got hooked up with a suite, even though we didn't pay for one..and it was SOOOOOO nice. THe beds were amazingly comfy, the pillows were soooo soft, and the room was gorgeous - with living room and all. Here's a pic of the beds:
Friday was Pinky (Erika) Chung and Sandswirl day. =) We slept in... got up, ate yummy potato wedges at Boston Pizza, and went on the Falls Boat tour called Maid of the Mist. I love that boat ride because the sights of the falls is just absolutely breathtaking. They give you ponchos to wear because you totally get sprayed by the mist of the falls... Erika and i forgot to bring waterproof mascara. Booo!
Then we hung out at Casino niagara for a bit:
Afterwards, we went to Buffalo airport to pick up Sherry and Margaret. We headed back to toronto and had dinner at a Korean restaurant near my pad:
The waiter laughed at us when we ordered... he said.. (in korean) "wow you guys must be really hungry huh?"
we were. as always. hehehe
THen we went back to my place, and got ready to go out. We went to one of my favorite venues in Toronto called "The Docks" (which got their liquor license revoked yesterday!)
My girlfriends agreed, it was really awesome. Although we stayed pretty sober up until 1am ... we then we met up with some of my party friends in the VIP section and got free drinks and took tons of shots.
as usual - drunk sherry and sandy heheh
Weekend at Wasaga Beach
I spent the weekend at Wasaga Beach with my Toronto friends. It was really fun because we rented a cottage near the beach for a night, and stayed over. =)
The beach was really nice, and I love that the water was fresh, not salty. I went swimming in it, and the water was sooo nice and warm. I love swimming =)
We also played beach volleyball... We played some games amongst ourselves and also a pick-up game with some other people. It was so fun, I played until i got some bruises on my wrists =P hehe. goodtimes...
